Convocatoria de artistas

Mayor Ryan Craig, along with Jasper Arts, are currently accepting proposals from artists interested in creating a commissioned artwork to be displayed in Mayor’s office at Jasper City Hall.

Mayor Craig is looking to transform a wall in his office into a vibrant, inviting, and creative space that reflects the spirit of our community. He is seeking an artist to create a visually engaging, one-of-a-kind backdrop for visitors, community members, and virtual meetings. Artists of all mediums—including 2D and 3D works—are encouraged to submit their artwork and creative ideas for consideration.

All mediums are welcome, provided the artwork can be safely installed and removed from the wall without permanent alteration.

No fees. Open to artists who live or work in Dubois County.

A $1,000 cash prize will be awarded to the artist selected by the Mayor. Privately funded by Mayor Craig. No City of Jasper taxpayer funds will be used for this project. Artwork display area is approximately 9 foot wide and 8.5 feet tall, with a foot of depth optional. See picture below.
